A Bit of Painting Makes All The Difference!
Have you ever noticed how clean and neat a home that has
recently been painted looks? You can be assured, your buyers have!
Not only does a freshly painted house look good, it also has that “new” smell. All of which brings most sellers top dollar when
compared to the minor expense of a good paint job. If your home has chipped paint, exposed wood, or surfaces that look faded or grimy then it
is time for new paint.
Most homes that do not sell, the feedback can be traced to this and other similar problems.
For instance, consider your carpet and flooring. If it is worn, torn, dirty or outdated, it is
time to get serious about freshening up your home for showings. Buyers have to consider
what it will take to freshen-up the house after closing when making an offer or decising
between homes. The thing is, buyers will over estimate the cost for portection and make
an offer much lower than they would have if the house was in blue-ribbon condition.
Please let me know when you are ready to sell your home, not just list it. I am happy to
help get your home in the best selling condition for today’s competetive market!
